The alco APA pasteurization spiral

Function

The APA pasteurization spiral is designed for the continuous pasteurizing of packaged products. The pasteurization spiral is a two-part pasteurization system consisting of a pasteurization zone and at least one cooling zone. In the pasteurization zone the product is uniformly and quickly heated. As a result, germs are effectively killed. The product is then re-cooled in at least one cooling zone. For better energy utilisation and protection of the packaging, the cooling section can be subdivided into several cooling zones. The pasteurization and subsequent re-cooling considerably extends the shelf life of the products. The intensive and rapid cooling preserves the quality of the products. The spiral belt conveyor design allows a considerable process length to be generated while the space requirement is small. Every pasteurization spiral is calculated according to the customer-specific requirements and specially designed so as to achieve the optimal application for the product.

For your application we offer you, based on our standard design, machines of various sizes as well as different additional options and accessory machines. Due to the flexible combination options, we can configure the perfect solution for you. Should your optimal solution, however, not be achievable in this way, we would be glad to develop it together with you.
